  1. Mālō e Lelei Mahina,

Thank you so much for completing both W1D5 Activity One and Two. I really enjoyed reading about the three things you consider to be “national treasures” and reading your re-told story of Yusra Mardini.

Firstly, I think that is so special that you have highlighted your parents and your extended family as one of your treasures. I can tell that they are very important to you and it is very lovely to read that.

Secondly, I really enjoyed reading your retold story about Yusra Madrini. I like that you were able to read/watch her story and retell the story in your words, making sure all the important parts of the story were still included. I think her story is truly amazing, and a very inspirational one too! I see that you have used a similar structure to the one on Yusra’s personal profile, as it helped you when you were trying to write you retold story of what happened.

I think it is cool that she is now training for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, will you be tuning in to watch the olympics? If so, what are your favourite events/sports to watch?

  2. Kia ora Mahina,

Thank you for completing week one, day five, activity one, I really enjoyed looking at the things you consider treasures. I can tell by your post that you really care for these things and I love how grateful you seem for these things in your post. Well done on explaining why they are important, this made your post more personal :)

The three most important things to me are firstly my friends and family as they support me and make me laugh, secondly music is really important to me because it makes me feel good and I love to dance to it, and lastly nature is important to me because I love getting outside and being amongst the trees and birds :)

Have a great day and keep up the awesome mahi!

  3. Hello Mahina,
Nice job! I hope you are having an amazing day! The last day of the Summer Learning Journey is today! Do as many activities as you can, so you can be awarded more points. You are still rocketing through these activities! I really enjoyed reading this blog post! Here is why I like it. Firstly, you put all your activities in a google slide. Nice job for doing that. Secondly, you retold the story of Yusra Madrini in your own words. I defiantly treasure my parents and family. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
